A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital Saturday evening, Sept. 29, after he struck a deer while driving on Burketville Road.
Tyler J. Ward, 33, of Ohio, was driving his 2007 Harley Davidson shortly before 6 p.m. when the deer ran into the road and he was unable to avoid striking it, according to a news release from the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
